Normal mumlara oranla 4 kat daha uzun ömürlüdür.

Şeffaf olma özelliğine sahip jel mumları yaparken kabın içine yerleştireceğiniz objeler görüneceğinden dekoratif mumlar elde edebilirsiniz.

Erime Derecesi: 90-95 °C

Kimyasal Karakteri: Katı ve sıvı hidrokarbon mumu bazlı yumuşak jel mumu ve katkı maddeleri.

Jel Mum Nasıl Yapılır?

Katı halde bulunan jel mumu benmari usulü eritmek için bir kabı su ile doldurup ocakta ısıtın.

Benmari usulü eritmeye başladığınız jel mumu düzenli olarak karıştırın.

Jel eritilip, fitil ve fitil tutacağı ile isteğe bağlı boya ve koku ilave edilip seçilen kaba dökülür.

Jel yağ bazlı olduğu için su bazlı boyaların kullanılmaması tavsiye edilir. Renklendirmek isteyenler kürdanın ucu kadar pigment boya kullanarak jeli renklendirebilirler.

Kullanacağınız kaplara fitilleri yerleştirin. Fitillerin tutacakları ortada sabit kalmalarını sağlar. Eğer yapışkanlı tutacakları yoksa bir mum eritip kabın dibine damlatarak tutacağı ortaya sabitleyin.

Jel mum sıcakken cam kaplara, ılık hale geldiğinde ise mika kutulara dökebilirsiniz.

Eriyen jel kabın yarısına kadar doldurulup bir süre jelin donması beklenir. 32 santigrat derecede bu olacaktır. Hemen hepsini doldurursanız zemindeki malzemelerle küçük tepkimeler sonucunda kabarcıklar oluşabilir ve mumunuz kabarcıklı olabilir.

5-10 dk kadar bu kabarcıkların gitmesini bekleyin. Daha sonra kabın kalan kısmı da doldurulup donması sağlanır.

Dikkat edilmesi gerekenler;

Eriticeğiniz kapta asla su vs. olmamalıdır bir damla su dahi bütün jel mumu bulandıracaktır.

Eritip ocaktan aldığınız sıvı jel mumu yavaşca, alçaktan dökünüz aksi takdirde baloncuk oluşur.

Kaba döktüğünüz jel mumu tamamen donana kadar hareket ettirmeyiniz.
